Transforming Shadows into Light Through Art

Custom Spirit Dolls

Built from your symbols, your needs, and a little spirit that shows up along the way.

These aren’t shelf-sitters—they’re spirit keepers. Every custom doll starts with your story and the work you want it to hold: protection, healing, boundaries, grief, clarity—whatever matters most to you.

I build each one from the inside out with gemstones, herbs, oils, and other elements chosen for their meaning, not just their look. The doll shapes itself as I work, revealing how it should be dressed, what it should carry, and even its name.

What you get isn’t just an object—it’s a presence you can place on your altar, your desk, or in your hands when you need it most.

Commissioned Artwork

What Do You Need to Tell Your Truth?

Bring me your symbol, story, or unsaid thing—I’ll make it into art that keeps its teeth.

If you want something original just for you, I take on commissioned work that isn’t about matching your couch—it’s about saying something you can’t shake. I work in mixed media pieces built to hold meaning, not just fill a space.

You can bring me a specific image, a feeling you can’t name, a symbol you keep seeing, or a story you want told without words. I’ll translate it into something you can see, touch, and keep—something that stays honest long after it’s done.

This isn’t “pick a style and I’ll copy it.” This is collaboration. You hand me what matters. I hand you back a piece of art that carries it—without sanding down the edges.

If you’re ready for work that’s personal, layered, and alive—let’s make it.

About Kellie Jo Close

The Power of Art and the Shadow Self

At the heart of Kellie Jo Art is my belief that art is a tool for self-discovery, empowerment, and healing. My work draws inspiration from Carl Jung’s exploration of archetypes, particularly his focus on the shadow self.

Through a variety of media, I explore the complexities of human psychology, inviting viewers to face their shadow aspects and embrace their full selves.

Each creation is an extension of my own journey to integrate these hidden parts, turning pain into beauty and darkness into light.
