Bold, colorful, and emotionally charged, my paintings are where I explore the relationship between light and shadow in a literal sense, and invite viewers to reflect on their own emotional landscapes.

I aim for my photos to capture the everyday, mundane vignettes you could find around anyone’s house. There is beauty in everyday living when you look.

Miscellaneous Art

Home decor, mixed media, and other creative expressions. This category covers everything from functional art to pieces that defy traditional classification. Whatever it is, it’s one-of-a-kind, made with the same care and creativity as my core works.

The Art Blog

My blog is where I dig deeper into the philosophy behind my work, exploring themes like shadow integration, creativity as healing, and the role of art in mental wellness. Here are some recent posts.

About Kellie Jo Close

The Power of Art and the Shadow Self

At the heart of Kellie Jo Art is my belief that art is a tool for self-discovery, empowerment, and healing. My work draws inspiration from Carl Jung’s exploration of archetypes, particularly his focus on the shadow self.

Through a variety of media, I explore the complexities of human psychology, inviting viewers to face their shadow aspects and embrace their full selves.

Each creation is an extension of my own journey to integrate these hidden parts, turning pain into beauty and darkness into light.
