## Try This

### One prompt. No setup.

**1.**Take a piece of paper. Write one line at the top: “Something felt off, and I was right.”

**2.**You need one. Any size. The first one that surfaces. A person, a room, a plan you did not want to say yes to. Do not explain it. Do not argue it down.

**3.** If nothing comes, that counts too. It means the signal has been outvoted for a long time, which is the reason you are standing at this door. Write that instead: “I can’t find one yet.” A true sentence. Start there.

**4.** If grief arrives before a memory does, let it come.  
You are not failing this.  
You are feeling what it cost to stop listening.

**5.** Set the pen down. The paper keeps.

*Whatever you end with, one line or one honest blank, keep the paper where you will find it again. A door you can come back through when you are ready.*
